Job summary

Summit Recruitment in Christchurch is seeking a Foreman Roofer or Leading Hand who wants to take the next step in their career to oversee a small team on mid to high end residential projects, with some commercial work. This is a full-time permanent hands-on role.

Your main duties include training and mentoring staff, quality checking finished work, reviewing site plans and materials, liaising with clients and builders to manage lead times, maintaining a safe working environment, and compiling

Qualifications

• Experience in metal roofing and cladding, preferably tray roofing.
• Experience leading a team and managing jobs.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance.

Based in Christchurch - you will be working for a growing NZ owned and operated business with a reputation for excellence and a strong presence in the local market for over 25 years. They design, manufacture and install bespoke metal roofing and cladding solutions, including a full range of Tray Roofing and Cladding products across Canterbury.

About the role:

• Excellent verbal communication skills as YOU will be customer facing
• A STRONG focus on safety
• Ideally a Full clean class 1 NZ drivers license
