Orkney Roofing is seeking an Experienced Membrane Roofer / Waterproofing Applicator to join our team in New Zealand. Applicants should have proven membrane roofing experience, strong ability to read plans, and good communication to coordinate with main contractors and team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of roofing experience preferred.
• Proven experience as a membrane roofer.
• Strong knowledge of membrane roofing systems and installation methods.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly around flashing, penetrations, edges, and finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans.
• Experience working on commercial and residential projects.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with main contractors and team members.
• Site Safe and Working at Heights certifications preferred.

This is a specialist roofing position focused onmembrane roofing systemsacross commercial and residential projects. We are looking for someone who is confident with membrane installation, understands the importance of preparation and detailing, and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of roofing experience preferred.
• Proven experience as amembrane roofer.
• Strong knowledge of membrane roofing systems and installation methods.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly aroundflashing, penetrations, edges, and finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans.
• Experience working oncommercial and residential projects.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with main contractors and team members.
• Site Safe and Working at Heights certifications preferred. We can assist with renewing these if required.
