Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited in Rangiora is seeking motivated individuals to join our Grocery team. This role emphasizes excellent Customer Service and working as part of our One Team philosophy in a busy store.

We offer a welcoming environment with training opportunities. This Permanent Part-time position includes weekend hours such as Sunday 2pm–9pm and Friday duties, with forklift eligibility encouraged.

• Experience in a grocery/retail environment is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy store.

Sunday 2pm – 9pm

Friday Duty Manager 4:30pm-930pm

The responsibilities of these positions include:

• Ability to lead and supervise a team


• Stocking shelves, working stock in storeroom, keeping stock organized


• Having knowledge about our products and services


• Following the correct Inwards good procedures


• Adhering to Food Safety and Health and Safety policies


• Forklift license or be willing to get one

Personal attributes required are:

• Ability to work well with a team


• Physical fitness for either lifting crates and boxes and standing for long periods of time


• Ability to multi-task and also complete tasks within the required timeframes


• Motivation to learn new skills


• A positive work ethic and attitude
