Job summary

Brian Perry Civil in Hamilton, New Zealand is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and contribute to competitive bids for civil infrastructure projects.

Working with an established estimating group, you will perform cost estimates, take-offs, pricing submissions and tender preparation while reviewing drawings and supplier quotations to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in civil construction
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related discipline
• Experience contributing to delivery of infrastructure, civil or construction projects
• Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, cost planning and tendering processes
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects

About The Role

We're looking for an Estimator to join our Hamilton team and play an important role in preparing competitive bids for civil infrastructure projects. Working as part of an experienced estimating team, you'll assist with cost estimates, pricing submissions and tender preparation across a range of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with estimating experience who is looking to further develop their civil infrastructure expertise and work on technically challenging projects.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years' estimating experience within civil construction, ideally with a Tier 1 or large infrastructure contractor
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience contributing to the delivery of infrastructure, civil or construction projects
• Sound understanding of estimating methodologies, cost planning and tendering processes
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Strong analytical, numerical and organisational skills
• Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective relationships across project teams
