Job summary

Brian Perry Civil is seeking a Site Engineer to support pipeline renewal and repair projects across water and wastewater infrastructure. You will work with experienced project teams, gaining exposure to trenching and trenchless methods while developing planning, coordination and site management skills.

This role suits an engineer who has completed a graduate programme or has some industry experience and is ready to take the next step in their career, with a focus on safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
• About 1–3 years of civil construction experience.
• Interest in underground services and water infrastructure.
• Exposure to trenching, pipeline installation or utility construction activities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and coordination of pipeline renewal works.
• Support site teams delivering trenching and trenchless construction activities.
• Monitor daily progress and help resolve site issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on project requirements.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Support health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Maintain project records and documentation.

What You’ll Bring

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Around 1-3 years' experience in civil construction, utilities or infrastructure projects

• Exposure to trenching, pipeline installation or utility construction activities
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced project teams
• A current NZ Driver Licence
