Job summary

Corde in Christchurch, New Zealand, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our busy restaurant team. The ideal candidate is skilled, hardworking and able to work in high-pressure environments. This full-time position offers 30 hours per week minimum, with hours rostered across Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, hiring, training, customer service, inventory, pricing and safety. MOJ check and drug test are required; training will be provided to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience or level 4+ qualification in Business/commerce/management/sales/Arts or relevant field.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Clear and confident communicator.
• Calm and efficient under pressure.
• Ministry of Justice check and pre-employed drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints about goods and services.
• Plan and prepare work schedules and assign staff to duties.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate, dismiss and promote staff, and resolve staff grievances.
• Instruct staff on handling difficult and complex sales procedures.
• Examine returned goods and decide on appropriate action.
• Take inventory of goods for sale and order new stock.
• Ensure goods and services are correctly priced and displayed.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are enforced.

We offer competitve pay, between $25 to $28.00 (depending on experience) and aminimum of 30 hours per week. This is a fulltime role; work is as per the roster, Mondayto Sunday.

Job Description:
