Job summary

New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture direction across Customer and Digital domains in Auckland. You will shape platforms, capabilities and the broader technology landscape to support customer-focused services.

In this strategic role, you will balance innovation with delivery needs, influence investment decisions and guide architecture practices across product, delivery and technology teams across NZTA.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in enterprise or solution architecture.
• Experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps and target states.
• Strong knowledge of customer engagement platforms and digital services.
• Experience working across complex product, platform and delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Ability to translate complex tech into clear guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture direction for Customer and Digital domains.
• Develop target states, roadmaps and strategic guidance.
• Shape evolution of customer experience platforms and enabling capabilities.
• Influence technology investment and strategic priorities.
• Provide architectural direction to support digital product delivery.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation and reuse.
• Partner with product, delivery and technology teams.
• Align delivery decisions with long-term outcomes.
• Manage cross-domain dependencies and risks.
