Job summary

IHC New Zealand is hiring a dedicated Support Worker in Hamilton to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to live independently at home and in the community.

You'll assist with daily living, transport, meals, medication, and personal care across varied shifts, including weekends, with opportunities to advance through Level 2–4 Health and Wellbeing qualifications. You will be part of a supportive, values-driven team committed to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, people-first approach to support individuals.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Calm, patient demeanor when supporting complex behaviours.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Confidence using computers/tablets in daily work.
• Physical ability for mobility and personal care tasks.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
