Job summary

Healthvision is seeking dedicated support workers to assist people in Northland communities including Central Whangārei, One-Tree Point, Waipu, Mangawhai Heads and Dargaville. This rewarding role focuses on empathy, resilience, and building trust-based relationships to help individuals live the best possible life in their home communities.

We offer permanent positions with full-time or part-time hours, on rotating rosters.

Qualifications

• Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred in rest home and/or in the community
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury
• Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a NZ Full Driver's License is a must)
• Flexibility to travel anywhere in Northland
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)
• Assisting with household management and meal preparation
• Supporting exercise programmes
• Assisting with accessing the community
• Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares
• Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
• Medication support
