Job summary

Healthvision is seeking dedicated support workers to assist our service across the Northland region. You will be a calm, confident presence, building trusted relationships with people we support to help them live their best lives in the community.

Responsibilities include personal care, household tasks, meal prep, exercise support, community access, and medication assistance. Permanent positions with full-time or part-time hours, rotating rosters, and community-based work are available.

Qualifications

• Prior personal care experience is preferred in rest home and/or in the community.
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions (e.g., spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury) is a bonus.
• Access to a car and a valid NZ Full Driver's Licence is a must.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is required.

About the Position | Te Mahi

Currently we are looking for dedicatedsupport workers to assist our service across Northland region.

Support work is fun, people-facing, challenging, and very rewarding, and it is also a deeply empathetic journey. It is more than a job; it is an opportunity to provide invaluable support, led by the people you will be supporting.

Job Location: Pukenui, Kaitaia, Karikari, Coopers Beach/Mangonui

Pay rate:$25.22- $31.40 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).

Employment Type: Permanent

We offer a range of employment opportunities including part-time, and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Hours of work: Full-time (30+ Hours) or Part-time (Up to 29 Hours)

Days of Work:As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.

The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.

The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):

• Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred in rest home and/or in the community
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury
• Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a valid NZ Full Driver's License is a must)
• Flexibility to travel anywhere in Northland
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
