About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Elevator Technician to join our team in a full-time, permanent position.

Based in Wellington, you will work on a variety of projects throughout New Zealand, helping install, upgrade and commission elevator systems and components. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys varied technical work, solving problems and taking pride in delivering safe, reliable results.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Installing, upgrading and commissioning a variety of elevator systems
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Troubleshooting issues and completing corrective work promptly
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer manuals
  • Completing accurate service, testing and project documentation
  • Following company procedures and New Zealand health and safety requirements
  • Communicating professionally with clients, contractors and other team members
  • Travelling and staying away from home when required for projects
About You:
  • Strong elevator installation and commissioning experience across a range of models and components
  • The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults confidently
  • A solid understanding of electricity and safe electrical working practices
  • A relevant technical qualification or electrical trade certification
  • Electrical Service Technician registration or experience that may be considered
  • Experience in field service, building services, elevators or other vertical transportation systems
  • The ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer documentation
  • A strong commitment to health and safety, including working safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Clear communication skills and a reliable, team‑focused attitude
  • The ability to work independently and use sound judgement
  • A current driver licence
  • The legal right to work in New Zealand
