Schindler Group in Christchurch seeks a Lift Commissioning Engineer & Team Leader to manage the full installation and commissioning of lifts and escalators. You will lead the New Installations & Modernisations team in Christchurch, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery across projects.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience or NZQF Level 4 qualification, EWRB/Electrician credentials, and a valid NZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as Lift Fitter Commissioning Engineer or NZQF Level 4 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical.
• EWRB Electrical Installer, Electrician Registered or Provisional License.
• Full and clean NZ driver's license.
• Dedicated to safety and high quality.
• Practical thinker with technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of lift and escalator projects in Christchurch.
• Mentor installation team and oversee subcontractors.
• Ensure QA, local codes and customer specifications are met.
• Complete quality checks and report non-conformances.
• Keep work sites tidy and paperwork up to date.
• Oversee subcontractors' teams.
