Job summary

Cobb & Co Taupo invites hospitality professionals to join their team. The role focuses on taking orders, delivering high-quality service, and contributing to a smooth dining experience for guests.

You will support billing, resolve queries, and help maintain a clean, compliant dining environment during service hours. The position requires at least 1 year in hospitality, barista skills, wine knowledge, and familiarity with POS/ordering systems to ensure accurate service and efficient guest

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly table service while maintaining knowledge of Cobb & Co Taupo menu offerings.
• Process customer bills accurately and ensure settlements are completed.
• Resolve guest queries and complaints within personal authority before escalation.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness for dining areas, equipment and bar.
• Follow health and safety regulations and report hazards promptly.
• Attend service meetings, complete ongoing training and be flexible for late-night or extra shifts.

Job description

Cobb & Co Taupo, established in 1973, is looking for a hospitality professional to take orders/requests from customers and ensure that a high and correct standard of service is delivered. The role reports to the Shift Manager and Restaurant Manager and is responsible for the Runners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and efficient table service while maintaining clear knowledge of the Cobb & Co. menu offerings .
• Billing & Cashiering: Ensure customer bills are processed accurately and settled in full .
• Complaint Handling: Resolve guest queries and complaints within personal authority before escalating to the Shift Manager .
• Restaurant Operations: Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness for equipment, crockery, cutlery, dining areas, bar, and amenities .
• Compliance & Safety: Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations (including Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 standards) and report hazards or incidents promptly via Jolt .
• Team Participation: Attend service meetings, complete ongoing training, and maintain flexibility to work late-night or extra shifts as required by management .

Candidate Requirements & Competencies
