Qualifications

• Typically 2–6 years in a small or mid-sized environment.
• Experience with an ecommerce platform such as BigCommerce or Shopify.
• Competent with email marketing tools and spreadsheets.
• Ability to create clear, commercial copy with a friendly tone.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and emails promptly and professionally.
• Help customers with product questions, quotes, orders and follow-ups.
• Support general sales administration and keep customer records tidy.
• Be a reliable first point of contact for the business.
• Plan and send regular weekly communications—mostly email, with some social.
• Create and promote product-based communications on a consistent weekly rhythm.
• Keep a simple marketing calendar so activity happens on time.
• Write clear, commercial copy with a humorous, non-corporate voice.
• Maintain and improve BigCommerce website: products, prices, images, categories, promotions.
• Keep product information accurate and up to date.
