Job summary

New World Wanaka is seeking a Duty Manager to lead a busy retail team on a daily basis. You will manage floor operations, merchandising, stock, and safety standards while ensuring excellent customer service. Experience in fresh foods and SAP is valued, and a liquor licence is preferred or must be obtainable.

You will oversee weekend shifts and report to store leadership. This role offers on-site work with a locally owned store in Wanaka, NZ.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supermarket or busy retail environment.
• Manager’s Certificate (or ability to obtain one) for liquor/licence compliance.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Confident in leading and supporting a team.
• Sound problem solving and decision making ability.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in a fresh food department is preferred.

About You – The Successful Applicant Will Have

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supermarket
• A Manager’s Certificate (liquor licence) or ability to obtain one
• Good time management and communication skills
• Confident in leading and supporting a team
• Sound problem solving and decision making ability
• Experience with SAP or similar systems
• A quick learner with a positive attitude
• A Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one
• Experience working in a fresh food department

Pay rate range for these positions are $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. The shifts for these roles will include weekends. These roles relate to ANZSCO 142111 (Skill level 2) Retail Manager.
