Job summary

New World Wanaka, part of Foodstuffs South Island Limited, is hiring supermarket assistants. These roles offer steady, year-round work with weekends possible and a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Pay ranges from NZD 24.50 to 26.00 per hour, with opportunities for development in a busy, friendly store located at Wanaka. Join a locally owned team and contribute to excellent customer service.

Supermarket Assistants – New World Wanaka

New World Wanaka is 100% locally owned and located just a hop, skip and jump from Wanaka’s Lake edge right in the middle of town at 20 Dunmore Street, Wanaka.

We have multiple opportunities available in our vibrant store for diligent and hardworking retail superstars. Departments and shifts are varied and will be discussed at interview.

Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:

• Helping customer to find products in the store and answering their questions
• Stacking & displaying goods for sale
• Personal shopping
• Wrapping, preparing and packaging goods for sale
• Servicing customers and accepting payment for goods via our point-of-sale systems
• Assisting with the ongoing management of stock such as participating in stock takes

Pay rate range for these positions is $24.50 - $26.00 per hour. Roles are a minimum of 30 hours per week and most will include some weekend work. These roles relate to ANZSCO 621111 (L5) Sales Assistant.
