Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts – Bay of Plenty is seeking a confident Duty Manager to lead Front Office operations at Millennium Hotel Rotorua, delivering seamless, welcoming guest experiences.

This full-time role offers a rotating roster, 40 hours weekly, with shifts 6:30am-3pm or 2:30pm-11pm and occasional nights; pay 28–32 NZD per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Food & Beverage operations preferred.
• Full Manager's Licence required.
• Strong customer service background essential.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Opera PMS knowledge advantageous.
• Proven people management capability.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with a can-do attitude.
• Flexible to rotate weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting Front Office during shifts.
• Managing guest arrivals, departures and inquiries.
• Handling reservations and coordinating with housekeeping.
• Resolving guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Ensuring smooth hotel operations and service excellence.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our Front Office operations - ensuring every guest experience is seamless, welcoming, and memorable.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading and supporting the Front Office team during shifts
