WM New Zealand is seeking a driver/operator in Oamaru to service the local transfer station with a variety of trucks. You will log digital records, perform safety checks, and contribute to a strong safety culture while supporting site maintenance as needed.
You’ll be operating skip, rear-load, and sideload vehicles, must have a Class 4 NZ licence, and be flexible to meet customer needs with guaranteed hours and a stable career path.
We are seeking a driver to join our team in Oamaru, based from the Oamaru Refuse Transfer Station. In this role, you’ll operate a variety of trucks and assist in transfer station operations as required. Class 4 licence would be required to operate our sideload truck which also covers the class 2 trucks.

As an Operator, you’ll be responsible for driving a range of vehicles equipped with the latest onboard technology to ensure safe and timely collections across Oamaru and surrounding areas. You’ll complete digital logbooks & vehicle safety checks while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Operations include skip, rear-load, and sideload trucks and even site-based maintenance so a good level of physical fitness is important. You’ll also play an active role in supporting our strong safety culture and teamwork values.
You are customer-focused, reliable, and adaptable. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you’re open to learning new skills and ongoing training.
