Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking an Operator/Driver to join its Timaru team. You will drive a variety of trucks, with responsibilities including safe and timely collections across Timaru and nearby areas. A Class 4 licence is preferred, with openness to experienced Class 2 drivers stepping up.

You will maintain logbooks, conduct digital safety checks, and support health and safety standards while working as part of a collaborative team providing essential local waste management services.

Job Description

As an Operator, you'll be responsible for driving a range of vehicles equipped with the latest onboard technology to ensure safe and timely collections across Timaru and surrounding areas. You'll complete accurate logbook entries and digital vehicle safety checks while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Operations may include Frontload, skip and rear-load trucks, so a good level of physical fitness is important. You'll also play an active role in supporting our strong safety culture and teamwork values.

Qualifications

You are customer-focused, reliable, and adaptable. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you're open to learning new skills and ongoing training.

• Class 4 New Zealand driver's licence (or experienced Class 2 driver ready to step up)
