Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a driver/operator in Oamaru to service the local transfer station with a variety of trucks. You will log digital records, perform safety checks, and contribute to a strong safety culture while supporting site maintenance as needed.

You’ll be operating skip, rear-load, and sideload vehicles, must have a Class 4 NZ licence, and be flexible to meet customer needs with guaranteed hours and a stable career path.

Qualifications

• Class 4 NZ driver's licence is required.
• Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers endorsement desirable.
• Adaptable to varied tasks — no two days are the same.
• Strong focus on health and safety.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive a range of vehicles with onboard technology to ensure safe, timely collections.
• Complete digital logbooks and vehicle safety checks.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Support skip, rear-load, and sideload truck operations and site maintenance.
