Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a driver to join our Dunedin team. You’ll operate a range of trucks, delivering reliable service across Dunedin and surrounding areas while enjoying guaranteed hours and family-friendly shifts.

We welcome applicants with a Class 4 licence or those willing to progress from Class 2 to Class 4, and you’ll be supported with ongoing training and access to the latest truck technology to grow your career with us.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of vehicles with onboard technology to ensure safe, timely collections.

• Operate computerized systems and other work-related systems.
• Load and unload waste and transport/dispose of materials per requirements.
• Undertake servicing, delivery and processing of waste as required.

Job Description

As an Operator, you’ll be responsible for driving a range of vehicles equipped with the latest onboard technology to ensure safe and timely collections across Dunedin and surrounding areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicle and/or equipment as and when required.
• Operate computerized systems and other work related systems.
• Perform loading and unloading duties and transport and disposal of varying waste materials, in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Undertake servicing, delivery and processing of waste as required.

Qualifications

You are customer-focused, reliable, and adaptable. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you’re open to learning new skills and ongoing training.

• Class 2 or 4 New Zealand driver’s licence
