Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking an Operator/Driver in Dunedin to operate a variety of trucks and ensure safe, timely waste collections. You will work with onboard technology and contribute to a clean environment.

Class 4 licence is preferred, but we will support a Class 2 driver to gain Class 4. Expect guaranteed hours, family-friendly shifts, and ongoing training with a leading waste management provider.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of vehicles with onboard technology to ensure safe, timely collections.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles/equipment as required.

• Load, unload and transport waste in accordance with client requirements.
• Undertake servicing, delivery and processing of waste as required.

Job Description

As an Operator, you'll be responsible for driving a range of vehicles equipped with the latest onboard technology to ensure safe and timely collections across Dunedin and surrounding areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicle and/or equipment as and when required.
• Operate computerized systems and other work related systems.
• Perform loading and unloading duties and transport and disposal of varying waste materials, in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Undertake servicing, delivery and processing of waste as required.

You are customer-focused, reliable, and adaptable. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you're open to learning new skills and ongoing training.

• Class 2 or 4 New Zealand driver's licence
