Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking an Operator/Driver in Dunedin to operate a range of trucks and support safe, timely waste collections across Dunedin and surrounds. The role offers guaranteed hours and family-friendly shifts with a competitive hourly rate.

Class 2 or 4 NZ licences are preferred; we’re happy to support a motivated Class 2 driver to progress to Class 4. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, with ongoing training and access to the latest truck technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations.

• Operate computerized systems and other work related systems.
• Perform loading and unloading duties and transport and disposal of varying waste materials, in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Undertake servicing, delivery and processing of waste as required.

Job Description

As an Operator, you’ll be responsible for driving a range of vehicles equipped with the latest onboard technology to ensure safe and timely collections across Dunedin and surrounding areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicle and/or equipment as and when required.
• Operate computerized systems and other work related systems.
• Perform loading and unloading duties and transport and disposal of varying waste materials, in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Undertake servicing, delivery and processing of waste as required.
