Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our Wanaka-based Queenstown team. This hands-on role involves driving, growing knowledge of NZTA regulations, and maintaining safety records. The job is seasonal part-time, 24 hours per week, with rosters from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, based in Wanaka.

Applicants should hold a current Class 2 NZ driver's licence and be comfortable working evenings in a physically active environment, with a commitment to safety and reliable service.

• A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver's licence.
• NZTA and workplace safety knowledge preferred.

Job Description

We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our Queenstown team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service throughout the Queenstown area. You'll also be required to keep accurate records and paperwork and undertake vehicle safety checks.

This is an active, hands on role, involving regular movement in and out of the truck and walking from bin to bin throughout the day, so a reasonable level of fitness is important. From previous experience, you'll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and you'll champion our culture of making sure everyone gets home safely.

About you

You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You're comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.

• A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver's licence
