Job summary

Waste Management in Queenstown is hiring a Class 2 Driver to join our team. You will operate a vehicle and equipment to ensure safe, timely collection across the Queenstown area, conduct vehicle safety checks, and keep accurate records.

This is a permanent, full-time role with 40 hours per week, rostered Monday to Sunday 6:30am–5:00pm. We value safety, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach, and offer a supportive, drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Must hold a clean and up-to-date Class 2 NZ driver’s licence.
• You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues.

Job Description

We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our Queenstown team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service throughout the Queenstown area. You’ll also be required to keep accurate records and paperwork and undertake vehicle safety checks.

This is an active, hands on role, involving regular movement in and out of the truck and walking from bin to bin throughout the day, so a reasonable level of fitness is important.From previous experience, you’ll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and you’ll champion our culture of making sure everyone gets home safely.

You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You’re comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.

• A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver’s licence
