Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our Queenstown team operating a vehicle for safe, timely collection in the Wanaka region. You will perform safety checks and maintain records as part of daily duties.

This seasonal part-time role runs 24 hours per week with a Monday–Sunday roster, 6:00pm–10:00pm, at an hourly rate of $42.00, based in Wanaka. A clean Class 2 NZ driver’s licence is required.

• You’re comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.
• A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver's licence

Job Description

We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our Queenstown team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service throughout the Queenstown area. You'll also be required to keep accurate records and paperwork and undertake vehicle safety checks.

This is an active, hands on role, involving regular movement in and out of the truck and walking from bin to bin throughout the day, so a reasonable level of fitness is important. From previous experience, you'll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and you'll champion our culture of making sure everyone gets home safely.
