Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Class 2 Driver for the Wanaka team to ensure safe and timely collection of waste in the local area. You will maintain records, perform vehicle safety checks and handle paperwork as part of daily duties.

This role is seasonal and part-time, averaging 24 hours per week with shifts from 6.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday through Sunday, based in Wanaka. A clean NZ Class 2 licence is essential for eligibility and safety is a top priority.

Job Description

We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our Wanaka team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service throughout the Wanaka area. You'll also be required to keep accurate records and paperwork and undertake vehicle safety checks.

This is an active, hands on role, involving regular movement in and out of the truck and walking from bin to bin throughout the day, so a reasonable level of fitness is important.
From previous experience, you'll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and you'll champion our culture of making sure everyone gets home safely.

You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You're comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.

• A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver's licence
