Job summary

Bidfood Auckland South is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to lead our transport and distribution operation in Auckland. You’ll oversee daily dispatch, coach a growing team and ensure orders are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll drive improvements in delivery performance, cost control and safety compliance while working closely with Sales, Customer Service and Warehouse teams to exceed customer expectations.

• Proven experience managing transport, logistics, distribution or supply chain operations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
• Experience overseeing fleet compliance, vehicle maintenance and transport performance.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee daily transport and dispatch operations, develop your team and ensure customers receive their orders safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a hands‑on leadership role working closely with Drivers, Runners, Dispatch, Warehouse, Sales and Customer Service. You’ll balance service quality, delivery efficiency and transport costs while maintaining strong safety and compliance standards.
