WHO WE ARE: Southern Paprika Limited (SPL)

Located in Warkworth, just north of Auckland, Southern Paprika Limited (today known as SPL) is New Zealand’s largest single-site glasshouse operation and one of the country’s leading producers of hothouse vegetables. It operates 26 hectares of modern glasshouses on an 86- hectare site, growing capsicums and tomatoes, alongside a smaller volume of snacking cucumbers. In 2023, SPL became a wholly owned subsidiary of Market Gardeners Limited (MG Group).

THE ROLE:

We have an opportunity for a motivated team player to join the Dispatch Team of 4. You will work closely with the Dispatch Supervisor, ensuring all customer orders are filled on time.

You will be responsible for:

Palletising boxes of capsicum to orders, ensuring all documentation is completed for outgoing product

Rotation of chiller stocks and keeping the dispatch area clean and tidy

Navigation of computer systems for order fulfilment

Working across all areas of the packhouse including grading, putting lids on boxes, stacking boxes/crates on to pallets

Learning to operate all packhouse machinery

Assisting with glasshouse work as required

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Basic computer literacy is a must, including an understanding of MS Excel

Attention to detail is vital to ensure you can meet the technical aspects of this role

Ability to work autonomously and comfortable working in and out of our chillers

Dispatch experience is not required however would be an advantage

A capable communicator in pressured environments

A reasonable level of fitness as this is a physical role involving heavy lifting

Flexibility with hours to support our seasonal demands
