Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) are seeking an Advisor, Digital Channels to translate strategy into engaging digital content across social, website, newsletters and events.

You’ll develop and publish content, film and edit short-form video, design visuals and work with senior leaders to ensure clear, audience-focused communications that support regulatory priorities and public engagement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in communications/marketing/journalism and 1–2 years’ related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and stakeholder influence.
• Confidence creating accessible, plain-language content for varied audiences and channels.
• Audiovisual and design skills; ability to turn complex information into clear visuals.
• Experience with photography, audio, analytics, CMS or other digital tools.
• Knowledge of best-practice engagement and communications methods.
• Collaborative, adaptable and committed to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the communications plan across CAA’s channels.
• Plan, schedule, publish and update content across digital channels, newsletters and events.
• Create video, photography and other digital content; bring fresh formats and platforms to widen reach.
• Ensure digital channels provide a consistent, accessible user experience with UX/SEO considerations.
• Monitor performance and engagement; recommend content improvements.
• Publish web content and review sites for consistency with best practice.
• Identify risks in digital content and escalate appropriately before publication.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to understand objectives and opportunities.
