Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority New Zealand, based on Mount Victoria, North Island, is hiring an Advisor, Digital Channels to lead hands-on digital communications that bring strategy to life across social, website, intranet, newsletters, video and events. You’ll craft engaging content, edit video, design visuals and adopt smarter audience reach across channels.

You’ll work with experienced colleagues to plan, publish, and update content, monitor performance, and ensure accessibility and consistency

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with strong portfolio or 1–2 years in communications/digital media.
• Ability to translate complex information into accessible messages across channels.
• Experience with filming, social content, design visual material and editing

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of CAA’s communications plan across digital channels.
• Plan, schedule, publish and update content on social media, website, intranet, newsletters, video, campaigns and events.
• Create video, photography and visual content to increase reach and engagement.
• Ensure digital channels provide a consistent and accessible user experience for participants and stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and recommend improvements to content and channel use.
• Publish web content and review websites for UX/SEO and best practices.
• Create accessible, plain-language content aligned with brand and tone.
• Identify reputational, privacy or accuracy risks in digital content and elevate issues.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to plan and deliver communications objectives.
