Job summary

Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd in Napier is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty trucks. You’ll perform routine maintenance and inspections, while mentoring apprentices and collaborating with seasoned technicians.

Rostered Saturday work and after-hours callouts are required, with flexibility to travel for training as needed. A strong safety mindset and reliability are essential for success in this role.

The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager & supported by the Foreman, you’ll diagnose and repair mechanical issues using cutting-edge diagnostic tools, and conduct routine maintenance, service, and inspections to keep our trucks performing at their best. You’ll collaborate with experienced pros, mentor apprentices, and continuously grow your skills.

This is a minimum 40 hours a week with a rostered Saturday. There is also an expectation to work after hours callouts as needed on a rostered basis, and flexibility to travel for work and training as and when required.
