Job summary

Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd, part of the Sime Motors group, seeks a Diesel Technician in Napier. You will diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy trucks, conduct routine maintenance, and contribute to high-quality service standards.

You’ll work with experienced pros, mentor apprentices, and participate in after-hours callouts and travel as needed to support the branch and customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with heavy-duty trucks and diagnostic tools.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Mentor apprentices and share knowledge with the team.

You'll collaborate with experienced pros, mentor apprentices, and continuously grow your skills. This is a minimum 40 hours a week with a rostered Saturday.
