QT Queenstown, part of EVT Limited, is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join the hotel's kitchen team. This permanent, full-time role offers a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week under the Executive Chef, developing your skills across a dynamic hotel kitchen in one of the world's most spectacular settings.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience in a hotel or restaurant environment, with a genuine desire to grow and develop as a chef.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to take direction from senior chefs and contribute to a team-focused kitchen culture.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• NZ work visa eligibility; sponsorship available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Work across designated kitchen sections as directed by the Executive Chef, assisting with food preparation, cooking and service to the hotel's established standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times, following cleaning rosters and health and safety procedures.
• Keep sections stocked to established par levels, minimise waste, and assist with cost control.
• Stay up to date with current menus and ensure recipes and standards are followed.
• Use and maintain all kitchen equipment and chemicals correctly and safely.
• Participate in training and development, attend departmental meetings and assist other outlets when required.
