Job summary

Datacom in Wellington seeks an experienced Delivery Lead/Consultant for a contract through to June 2027. You will coordinate delivery of application and technology initiatives, working with customers, Product Owners, and delivery teams to ensure work is planned, tracked and delivered on time.

You will manage backlogs, user stories, and delivery plans in Azure DevOps, oversee change requests, and provide regular status reporting while maintaining governance and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Contract Delivery Lead/consultant with proven delivery experience.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for work management and backlog tracking.
• Experience managing change and service requests in ITSM.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and maintain relationships with customers and tech teams.
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and customer engagements.
• Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of change management processes and delivery governance.
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Broad understanding of technology infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of financial administration and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of application and technology initiatives to meet timelines.
• Manage delivery backlogs, work items, user stories, and delivery plans in Azure DevOps.
• Oversee change/service requests and ensure timely progression and closure.
• Act as liaison between customers, delivery teams and technical stakeholders.
• Monitor risks, issues, dependencies and milestones; escalate as needed.
• Provide regular status reporting on delivery progress and metrics.
• Support sprint planning and cross-team coordination.
• Ensure governance, change management and operational processes are followed.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to support outcomes.
• Assist with project closure, service transitions and handovers.
