Job summary

Datacom is seeking an experienced Delivery Lead / Consultant for a contract in Wellington, running through to June 2027. You will coordinate delivery of application and technology initiatives with customers, Product Owners, and technical teams to ensure work is planned, tracked, and delivered on time.

The role requires strong Azure DevOps usage, change management, and governance, plus the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programmes. NZDF security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivery leadership or project coordination in tech.
• Strong Azure DevOps experience for work management and backlog.
• Experience managing change/service requests in ITSM.
• Ability coordinate multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Experience facilitating meetings and customer engagements.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery and governance processes.
• Broad understanding of technology infrastructure projects.
• Experience with financial administration and project reporting.
• Active NZDF security clearance required; Wellington-based contract.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of application and technology initiatives within timeframes.
• Manage delivery backlogs, work items, user stories, and plans using Azure DevOps.
• Oversee change/service requests from initiation to closure.
• Serve as liaison between customers, delivery teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones; escalate as needed.
• Provide regular status reporting on delivery progress and metrics.
• Support sprint planning and resource coordination across teams.
• Ensure delivery governance and change management processes are followed.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Assist with project closure, service transitions, and handovers.
