Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Delivery Agent in Whanganui to deliver mail and parcels along a route, with duties including sorting at the depot and then heading out on a motorcycle or Paxster. The role is on-call to cover sickness, leave, and peak periods, providing a flexible work-life balance for the right candidate.

You'll join a team dedicated to delivering for New Zealand, with emphasis on reliability and customer satisfaction in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Availability to work every Saturday between 7.00am-2.30pm.
• A valid motorcycle licence is desired.
• Reliable transport is required.
• Be ready for a physically demanding role.
• Have a high level of numeracy and literacy - so you can get all that addressing information sorted!
• Ensure your own and the health and safety of your colleagues.
• Going the extra mile to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• And above all, a passion for doing a great job and getting it right, each and every time!

Responsibilities

• Deliver mail and parcels to customers on your delivery route.
• Process and sort mail at the Whanganui Depot.
• Operate your delivery route using a Motorcycle or Paxsters, rain, hail or shine.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role:

As the face of NZ Post out in the community, you'll connect with our customers as you deliver their mail and parcels. Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll process and sort mail from our Whanganui Depot, before going it alone out on your delivery route, using a Motorcyle or Paxsters, rain, hail or shine!
