Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking an On Call Delivery Agent in Wellington to support peak periods and cover sickness or leave. You’ll deliver mail and parcels, sort items at the Whanganui Depot, and then head out on your route by motorbike or Paxster, rain or shine.

This role requires a Saturday shift and a proactive, customer-focused approach to ensure reliable service. Working with a dedicated team, you’ll be valued for your dependability and physical stamina as you help connect kiwis and

• A valid motorcycle licence is desired.
• Reliable transport is required.
• Be ready for a physically demanding role.
• High numeracy and literacy to sort addressing information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mail and parcels as the face of NZ Post in the community.
• Sort mail at the Whanganui Depot before delivering on a route.
• Maintain safety and health of yourself and colleagues.
• Strive for high levels of customer satisfaction on every shift.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role:

As the face of NZ Post out in the community, you'll connect with our customers as you deliver their mail and parcels. Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll process and sort mail from our Whanganui Depot, before going it alone out on your delivery route, using a Motorcyle or Paxsters, rain, hail or shine! Delivery Agents are a hardy bunch, all united by one mission - to deliver for New Zealand.
