Job summary

New Zealand Post Group is seeking an on-call Delivery Agent for the Whanganui area. You will deliver mail and parcels on Saturdays, working with a small team, and then handle route deliveries on your own using a motorcycle or Paxsters, rain or shine.

A valid motorcycle licence is desirable and reliable transport is required. This role is physically demanding but offers flexible on-call hours and opportunities to contribute to customer satisfaction.

26.75 per hour + allowances * Shift hours : Saturday 7am-2.30pm * Whanganui location

About the role

As the face of NZ Post out in the community, you’ll connect with our customers as you deliver their mail and parcels. Working alongside a dedicated team, you’ll process and sort mail from our Whanganui Depot, before going it alone out on your delivery route, using a Motorcyle or Paxsters, rain, hail or shine! Delivery Agents are a hardy bunch, all united by one mission - to deliver for New Zealand.

About you

• Availability to work every Saturday between 7.00am-2.30pm
• A valid motorcycle licence is desired
• Reliable transport is required
• Be ready for a physically demanding role
• Have a high level of numeracy and literacy - so you can get all that addressing information sorted!
• Ensure your own and the health and safety of your colleagues
