Job summary

Fullers360 in Auckland is seeking a Deckhand ready to progress to Skipper, with training and internal progression on offer. You’ll lead deck duties, champion the customer experience onboard, and support the crew to operate at a high standard.

To apply, you must hold a NZ SRL ticket with endorsements for vessels up to 24 m, a seafarer medical, and a First Aid certificate, plus at least two years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• NZ SRL ticket with Endorsements for vessels up to 24 meters (High Speed Endorsement desirable).
• Current Seafarer Medical.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and support crew; outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence the customer experience onboard.
• Provide outstanding customer service in our bar and café.
• Take responsibility for all aspects of deck work.
• Complete engine room checks.
• Handle lines in all weather conditions.
• Lead safety on the vessels.
• Provide training and guidance to junior crew.
