Job summary

Fullers360 is seeking a deckhand with a clear pathway to skippership to join New Zealand’s largest public ferry operator. You will train and supervise crew, ensure top customer service, and lead safety on vessels as part of a rotating roster including weekends and holidays.

Must hold NZ SRL ticket with endorsements for vessels up to 24 meters, a seafarer medical, and a First Aid certificate. Two years in a similar role and strong presentation are required.

Qualifications

• Maintains NZ SRL skippers license with up to 24m vessel endorsements.
• Seafarer medical is current.
• First Aid certificate required.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence the customer experience onboard.
• Provide outstanding customer service in our bar and café.
• Deploying gangways.
• Taking responsibility for all aspects of deck work.
• Completing engine room checks.
• Handling lines in all weather conditions.
• Lead of safety on the vessels.
• Provide training and guidance to our junior crew.
