Job summary

Farmers Trading Company Ltd's National Distribution Centre in East Tamaki is seeking an analytical specialist to analyse operational data, monitor KPIs and drive improvements in safety, service, productivity and cost performance.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will build regular and ad hoc reports, support production planning and help embed continuous improvement across warehousing processes and SAP data workflows.

Job description

We are looking for an analytical and process-focused specialist to join our National Distribution Centre in East Tamaki. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will analyse operational data, monitor key performance indicators and identify practical opportunities to improve safety, service, productivity and cost performance. You will also provide timely reporting to the wider business and support production planning activities, including creating waves for processing.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting across distribution centre functions.
• Monitor production, forecast and operational KPIs, identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Analyse large datasets using statistical methods and analytical tools to support sound decision-making.
• Develop and maintain audit control reports, completing weekly and monthly controls for management action.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, service, safety and cost performance.
• Support SAP testing and help improve SAP EWM data and processes for distribution centre use.
• Build a strong understanding of end-to-end operations and work closely with operational leaders, planning, inventory, IT and other stakeholders.
• Assist production planning and operational teams as required.
• Manage assigned improvement projects and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Experience working with warehouse management software and data warehouse environments.
• Experience with SAP, ideally SAP EWM, or another enterprise resource planning system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including VBA skills.
