Job summary

Delegat is seeking a Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to join the Corporate IT team in Auckland. You will design, build and maintain data pipelines, lakehouse objects and semantic models, enabling trusted, self-service analytics across the business.

You’ll leverage Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure technologies to deliver scalable data solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and advance data governance and reporting capabilities globally.

Qualifications

3–5+ years in Data Engineer/Analytics Engineer/BI/Reporting role.
Strong SQL skills and cloud data platforms.
Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric: pipelines, Dataflows, Lakehouse, semantic models.
Strong Power BI development and data modelling.
Experience translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Experience monitoring and improving production data environments.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
Continuous improvement mindset and ownership.
Experience with Python and/or PySpark advantageous.
Power Platform experience (Power Automate) beneficial.
Exposure to D365 F&O / Azure / ML AI advantageous.
Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments beneficial.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain Microsoft Fabric pipelines, Dataflows and data ingestion processes.
Develop and support semantic models and Power BI solutions for self-service analytics.
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise Fabric workloads for performance and reliability.
Translate business requirements into practical data solutions and insights.
Support data governance through metadata management, data quality and lineage.
Contribute to process improvements and enhancement of Delegat's data capability.
Provide operational support for data/analytics platforms and ensure data accessibility.
