Job summary
Provoke Solutions is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with MS Fabric experience to join our New Zealand team. You will work across Fabric engagements, building pipelines and lakehouse solutions, turning business requirements into reliable data platforms that deliver insights for clients.
You’ll collaborate with engineers, leads and clients, owning delivery and exploring how AI and modern data practices improve outcomes. NZ-based, contract or permanent opportunities available.
Qualifications
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience is essential.
- Strong SQL and PySpark skills for data transformation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and Delta Lake.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Fabric Semantic Models and DirectLake.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and CI/CD practices.
- At least 2 years' relevant engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Build, transform and deliver data pipelines and lakehouse solutions.
- Troubleshoot data issues and optimise data flows.
- Collaborate with analysts to deliver meaningful business insights.
- Turn business requirements into reliable, scalable data solutions across Fabric engagements.
- Own delivery by asking questions, challenging assumptions and communicating clearly.
