Job summary

Inde in New Zealand is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to join our Data Intelligence and Architecture team. You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and other cloud platforms across Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

You’ll translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade data products.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern cloud data engineering stacks (Microsoft Fabric/Databricks).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with metadata-driven frameworks and data ingestion/orchestration techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of modern data platforms for enterprise clients.
• Design and build data pipelines for ETL and ELT processes using cloud stacks.
• Leverage metadata-driven frameworks to automate data ingestion.
• Apply medallion architecture to clean, enrich, and model data for consumption.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients.
• Engage in continuous learning and certifications.
• Work in a cross-functional team with knowledge-sharing and coaching.
• Maintain a hybrid work approach with occasional customer site visits.
