Job summary

Team Recruitment (Oxford) Limited is seeking an experienced Customs Broker in Auckland. You will manage customs and MPI clearances for air and sea imports via CargoWise, handling brokerage-only jobs, eTray, releases and invoicing with direct client contact.

You will own your work, be trusted to see it through, and collaborate with a small, experienced team that supports one another. Two days from home per week are offered after training.

Qualifications

• NZ customs broker qualification and hands-on brokerage experience.
• Confidence with classification, valuation and MPI requirements; able to make calls independently.
• Working knowledge of CargoWise.

Responsibilities

Customs Broker | Auckland Airport | Hybrid

We’re representing a well-established international freight forwarder with long-standing client relationships and a strong reputation for reliable service. Their Auckland team is small, experienced and stable, and people are trusted to manage their own area without layers of management.

They’re looking for an experienced Customs Broker to work alongside one other broker. It’s a role for someone confident in their technical knowledge who enjoys owning their work and seeing it through, with direct access to the New Zealand Manager.

The opportunity

You’ll manage customs and MPI clearances across air and sea imports through CargoWise, including brokerage-only jobs, eTray management, releases and invoicing. You’ll deal directly with a settled client base, get to know their goods well and be a trusted point of contact on customs matters. You’ll also share your knowledge with your fellow broker, and the team pitches in for each other when needed.

What you’ll bring

• A New Zealand customs broker qualification and solid, hands-on brokerage experience
• Confidence with classification, valuation and MPI requirements, and the judgement to make calls independently
• Working knowledge of CargoWise
• A methodical, accurate approach and pride in getting things right
• Clear, direct communication with clients and colleagues
