Job summary

Gebrüder Weiss in Auckland is seeking an experienced Operations & Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. You will manage end-to-end logistics for air and sea shipments, coordinate with customers and carriers, and use CargoWise to keep updates current.

Responsibilities

• Process air and sea import and export orders and documentation in line with company and NZ requirements
• Coordinate customer shipments and keep them up to date in CargoWise
• Proactively track and trace, check cargo availability, and monitor clearance and delivery
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments with customers and carriers
• Coordinate customs clearance with customs brokers in line with NZ Customs requirements
• Manage MPI biosecurity requirements, and use Trade Single Window lodgements where needed
• Respond to customer enquiries about the status and location of scheduled and en-route shipments
• Update clients on order status, including delays, by phone, email and reporting
• Coordinate operations and deliveries with overseas agents and cartage companies
• Build strong relationships with airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, Ports of Auckland and Auckland Airport cargo terminals

Operations & Customer Service – International Freight Forwarding

Come aboard and take the next step in your career! We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations & Customer Service Representative to join our Auckland team. This is a full-time permanent position (minimum 37.5 hours per week).

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will manage the end-to-end logistics process to ensure shipment delivery while providing quality support to our clients. We’re looking for an experienced operator with a passion for providing high levels of customer service. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

Process air and sea import and export orders and documentation in line with company and NZ requirements

Coordinate customer shipments and keep them up to date in CargoWise

Proactively track and trace, check cargo availability, and monitor clearance and delivery

About you

Strong operations skills and previous freight forwarding experience

Working knowledge of NZ Customs and MPI biosecurity clearance processes

Excellent communication and time management skills

Strong stakeholder management skills shown in previous roles

Previous CargoWise experience is an advantage
