Job summary

Hutt City Council is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our small, vibrant contact centre on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) as a fixed-term contract until end of June 2027. You will be the first point of contact for customers across phone, email and in-person channels from our Lower Hutt building.

About this role

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and inspiring Customer Service Representative (full-time (40 hours p/w)) to join our small and vibrant Contact Centre on a fixed term contract – until end of June 2027. Our contact centre is open Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, and works out of our lovely building in Laings Road, Lower Hutt, close to cafes and Queensgate.

What you'll do

You'll be on the front line and often the first point of contact for our customers via various channels including phone, email and face to face. No two days are the same, you'll receive a real variety of requests, questions and feedback from a diverse range of people. If you have strong customer service skills and are committed to providing an awesome customer experience, then we want to hear from you!
