Job summary

New Zealand Couriers is seeking a Customer Service Representative at the Penrose branch in Auckland. The role delivers exceptional service to customers, coordinates freight inquiries, and supports day-to-day operations in a busy branch.

The positions are fixed term until 28 May 2027, with hours Monday to Friday 9:30am–6:00pm and a rostered Saturday morning shift roughly every 6 weeks. Hourly rate is $28.00, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Call centre / customer service experience required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and, on occasion, face to face.
• Tracking freight and providing customers with timely updates.
• Investigating and resolving service issues and customer queries.
• Processing bookings, freight requests and customer information accurately.
• Assisting with problem freight, including damaged, delayed or misdirected freight.
• Inspecting freight, completing repacks and reporting damage where required.
• Supporting operational activities including freight sorting, scanning and processing.
• Working collaboratively with Operations, Fleet, Distribution and Sales teams to achieve positive customer outcomes.
