Job summary

New Zealand Couriers is seeking a Customer Service Representative at the Penrose branch in Auckland. The role delivers exceptional service to customers, coordinates freight inquiries, and supports day-to-day operations in a busy branch.

The positions are fixed term until 28 May 2027, with hours Monday to Friday 9:30am–6:00pm and a rostered Saturday morning shift roughly every 6 weeks. Hourly rate is $28.00, paid weekly.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and, on occasion, face to face.
• Tracking freight and providing customers with timely updates.
• Investigating and resolving service issues and customer queries.
• Processing bookings, freight requests and customer information accurately.
• Assisting with problem freight, including damaged, delayed or misdirected freight.
• Inspecting freight, completing repacks and reporting damage where required.
• Supporting operational activities including freight sorting, scanning and processing.
• Working collaboratively with Operations, Fleet, Distribution and Sales teams to achieve positive customer outcomes.

About the Role

Based at our Penrose Branch, our Customer Service Representatives play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while supporting the day-to-day operation of the branch.

You’ll be talking with customers, resolving freight enquiries, investigating issues, coordinating service outcomes and working closely with our Operations, Distribution, Fleet and Sales teams to keep freight moving.

We are recruiting for two fixed term positions to cover increased workload over a temporary period while we undertake a project.

These roles will be workingMonday to Friday 9.30am to 6.00pm, with a rostered Saturday morning shift (8am to 12.30pm) approximately once every 6 weeks.

THIS IS A FIXED TERM POSITION UNTIL 28 MAY 2027.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 per hour, paid weekly.

What You’ll Be Doing
